A hacksaw is a work tool that is indispensable in every household, factory and other workplaces. It is usually made of metal with a disposable blade in a C-shaped frame. Cutting materials like metals, porcelains, ceramics, plastic pipes, and glass can be done by a hacksaw but this depends on the type of blade to be used. Blades differ depending on the thickness of the materials to be cut and they are brittle so exercise extra caution in using it. There are standard sizes with three to thirty two feet per inch.
