A pick-up line is a type of conversation opener with the intention of piquantly engaging a person for romance or dating. It is often used with strangers or someone that a person likes to attract their full attention, frequently using witty phrases that are overrated in all the right senses. It explicitly displays one's affection through light humor and easy talking. However, this has been overtly exploited by a lot of individuals, mostly men just to get someone interested with them.
