FrontPage is an HTML editor that is used by many people to design and publish webpages. This application is included in the Office 1997 until 2003 suite of productivity applications. It was discontinued and replaced by Expression Web and Sharepoint Designer. Like any other HTML editor, FrontPage allows you to input Web components on the page you are designing. Web components typically used by people are the following: hover button, marquee, spreadsheets, charts and banner ad manager. It also allows the insertion of hit counters to your Web page. Hit counters, commonly referred to as Web counters, is a Web component that shows the number of visitors a page receives. They automatically log the number of visits on a page whenever a Web browser pulls up that specific URL address.
